Screenshot: Asia is going to be all virtual for Spring 2021. However, we will still be bringing Asian and Asian American Film and Media to the Pitt community and Southwestern PA.

This Spring, we have some exciting virtual screenings planned, including a series on the Pontianak films, stories about a Malaysian-Singaporean female apparition that yearns for revenge on those that have wronged her. For those who are less interested in horror, we are also screening Edo Avant Garde, a documentary about screen painting in Japan, with a discussion with the special guest, director Linda Hoaglund. Later in the spring, we will also have screenings of Rainbow of the Warriors and People’s Republic of Desire.

And, keep checking back for more drive-in screenings!
